Desireé Blackmon

May 9, 1979 — October 19, 2019

Elizabeth Desireé Blackmon, 40, of Searcy went to be with the Most High, Saturday, October 19th at St. Vincent’s Hospital in Little Rock, Arkansas. She was born May 9, 1979 in Aurora, Colorado to James Moss and Sheila (Carter) Hunter. Extremely driven and smart she graduated as Valedictorian from Farmington High School in Farmington, Arkansas in 1997. She went on to attend the University of Kansas where she studied for approximately two years before transferring to the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville where she obtained a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration degree on May 11, 2002.

She was an Accounting Supervisor I for the Treasurer’s  Office at the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville shortly after graduating. In 2005 she met the love of her life, Jamar Willis Blackmon. They were married on July 8, 2006. Desiree’ chose a career as a Homemaker, because she took GREAT pride in taking care of her family and building a RIGHTOUS home. She LOVED it! When she decided to leave the workforce, she had a clear plan and vision that was 1000% implemented and most importantly FULFILLED.  She was an extremely compassionate, loving, caring, and selfless human being. She always went the extra mile to ensure everyone and anyone she encountered felt loved and special. She lived life to the absolute fullest through simple pleasures such as spending special time with her husband and children, watching Razorback games, and graciously entertaining family and friends in her home.

Now gone but NEVER FORGOTTEN Desiree’s memory is left to be treasured by her husband of 13 years, Jamar Blackmon; five children, Carter Kahlil Blackmon, Lilliana Desiree’ Blackmon, Arrielle Marie Blackmon, Jamar Willis Blackmon II, and Jameson Edward Blackmon; mother, Sheila Hunter (Rodger) of Farmington, Arkansas; father, James Moss of Hopkinsville, Kentucky; one brother, James Hasani Moss (Linda) of Prairie Grove, Arkansas; three sisters, Michaela Moss, Maya Moss, and Mahalia Moss all of Hopkinsville, Kentucky; mother and father in-law, John Willis and Artie Marie Blackmon of Little Rock, Arkansas; and numerous Grandparents, Uncles, Aunts, Cousins, Nieces, Nephews, and Friends.
