Deborah “Debbie” Shearer Rodgers, 72, of Searcy, Arkansas, was born on August 18, 1953, in Orange, California, to Bonnie and Lorene Floyd Shearer. She was called home on December 9, 2025, in Searcy.
Debbie grew up in Hawthorne, California, and graduated from Hawthorne High School in 1971. She went on to attend El Camino College and was an active member of Hawthorne United Methodist Church. In 1974, she moved to Pangburn, Arkansas, where she lived until making her permanent home in Searcy in 1992. In Searcy, she faithfully attended St. Paul United Methodist Church.
Debbie devoted her life to her family and to creating a home filled with love. She had a deep appreciation for music, classic films, the beauty of nature, and all animals. She also enjoyed quiet moments spent reading and working crossword puzzles.
She was preceded in death by her parents, along with her grandparents, JA and Lucy Ramsey Shearer, and Luther and Virgie Connie Payton Floyd.
Left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Michelle Westbrook Wise of Searcy; her grandson, Dillian Wise of Denver, Colorado; her granddaughter, Kala Morrissey (Aiden) of Searcy; and her great-granddaughter, Birdie Jane Morrissey of Searcy
