Clementine Williams

Clementine Williams, was born on May 31, 1936 in Kensett, Arkansas, to the late Ollie and Ottie Mae Smith. She gained her heavenly wings on December 21, 2018.  She graduated from White County Training School in Searcy, where she enjoyed playing basketball and was an avid player.

Clementine retired from Walmart Distribution in Searcy after 18 years of service, spent quite a few years prior to this in the Restaurant business.

She united with the West Pleasure Church of Christ at an early age, and was an affiliated member of St. Mary C.M.E. in Searcy, Arkansas.

Everyone who knew her called her “Momma Clemmie” and “Granny.” She was a hard-working lady who was a fabulous cook as well as a Fashionista!!!! She spent her life being a mother to all she encountered with and sharing a preponderance of knowledge and wisdom. If you knew her, you already know she enjoyed her Sports, especially the Arkansas Razorbacks and the Dallas Cowboys.

She valued her family most of all she taught us all to fight, survive, and how to overcome adversity. She was a firm believer in putting God first, telling us to trust him with all your heart.

Among all of accomplishments, she was most proud of her “DYNASTY” she left behind. She was loved by all and will be greatly missed.

Left to cherish her memory are three children, one son and two daughters, namely, Michael L. Williams Sr.  (Jeanette), Eleonore E. Dodson, (Wilford-deceased), Melanie A. Young, all of Searcy; three sisters--, Ellen Banks and Martha Hood of Hot Springs, and Bettye A. Smith of Searcy; one brother, Curtis Smith of Hot Springs; special grandson, Kevin Arnold;  twenty-seven grandchildren, forty-five great grandchildren, and three great-great grandchildren, and host of nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by one sister, Arlene White; three brothers, Paul Smith, Aaron “TEE” Smith, Kenneth Smith; two children, Herbert M. Williams and Sheila M. Young; two grandchildren, Marcus D. Young and Leon (Duke) Young III; and one great grand- child, Myles Smith.
