Cassandra Faye Duncan

Cassandra Faye Duncan, 32, of Searcy passed away Tuesday, May 19, 2026. She was born February 28, 1994 in Searcy, Arkansas to Maria Finley and the late David Lancaster.

It’s extremely difficult to write Cassandra’s obituary because there are so many roles she played. Her most important role was caring for Lyam and June. She was a fierce mama. She would do anything she could for her kids. She made a lot of memories with Lyam and June. She wanted them to learn to appreciate other places by taking them on trips. She took them to just about every kind of restaurant you can imagine. And just included them when she would go on a weekend adventure to visit her friends, who we’ve come to find out, are practically from every corner of Arkansas. She loved with her whole heart. She was the child that had the softest heart of all. There were times I tried to shield her because she was very timid as a little girl. I’m glad that God filled her life with all of you; an abundance of friends that she would help at the drop of a hat.

To say that we will miss her is an understatement. We’re not sure yet how to navigate a day without her, much less life.

Thank you all for your love, prayers, and support. I know that only God will sustain us.

Cassandra worked for 1st Security Bank as a Positive Pay Clerk. She had so many coworkers she considered her close friends. She grew up attending Revival Church of Searcy and was baptized at a very young age in the name of Jesus. We are thankful knowing she’s got her ticket to heaven.

We will miss everything about her.

Left to cherish Cassandra’s memory are her two children, Lyam Hughes, and June Duncan; her mother, Maria Finley (Randy); two sisters, Lacy Rygiol (Adam), Kristi Lancaster (Chuck); three brothers, Justin Lambert (Candance), Dave Lancaster, and Michael Lancaster (Debbie).

Cassandra was preceded in death by her beloved grandparent, Guadalupe and Gilberto Gonzales; and her father, David Lancaster.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, May 27th from 6:00-8:00 pm at Searcy McEuen Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, May 28th starting at 11:00 am, in the Searcy McEuen Chapel with burial following at Weir Cemetery.
