Carolyn Florence Young

Carolyn Florence Young, 72, of Searcy passed away Wednesday, September 14th at her home. She was born January 25, 1944 in Judsonia, Arkansas to the late Orvest and Florence (Henderson) Brooks.

Mrs. Carolyn was a member of St. Mary's CME Methodist Church. She was a cook for Searcy Country Club and Vickers Canteen. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and friend who was loved by all who knew her. Mrs. Carolyn will be greatly missed.

Left to cherish her memory are her three sons, Earl Young (Kim) of Searcy, Yul Young of Fayetteville, Arkansas, and James Young (Meloey) of Searcy; one daughter, Carol Elaine Young of Searcy; two brothers, Orvest Brooks of Toledo, Ohio, and Mark Baker of Kensett, Arkansas; one sister, Dorothy Peoples of Little Rock, Arkansas; twenty-four grandchildren and nineteen great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents Mrs. Carolyn was preceded in death by three brothers, Clint Miller, Robert Brooks, and O.C. Brooks; and two sisters, Elizabeth Bailey and Carmilla Brooks.

Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m. Saturday, September 24th at Searcy-McEuen Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held at 12:00 p.m. Saturday, September 24th at Searcy-McEuen Chapel with burial following at Gum Springs Cemetery
