Carl Leonard Taylor, Sr. passed away Tuesday, June 2, 2026, a day that held special meaning as it would have marked his 58th wedding anniversary. He was born March 30, 1949, in New Orleans, Louisiana to the late O.B. and Lillie (Chapman) Taylor.

He was a devoted husband, loving father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, uncle and friend whose greatest joy in life was his family. Nothing meant more to him than spending time with those he loved. He cherished family gatherings, where his warm presence, stories, and laughter brought everyone together.

He enjoyed simple pleasures, especially playing dominoes and spending time fishing. Whether around the domino table, by the water, or surrounded by family and friends, he found happiness in creating memories with the people he loved most. He was also a native of New Orleans, LA and a LSU and Saints fan to the end.

His legacy is one of love, devotion, and togetherness. He will be remembered for his kind heart, his dedication to his family, and the countless moments of joy he shared with those around him.

He leaves behind a family who will miss him deeply and carry his memory in their hearts forever.

Survivors include his children, Cindy Stacks (Eddie), Carl Taylor, Jr. (Tabitha), Jennifer Tapp (Sam), many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, siblings, extended family and many, many friends.

Carl was preceded in death by his wife Marilyn “Eia” Taylor, his parents, and 4 siblings.
