Carl Nutter

Carl E. Nutter, 70, passed away Sunday, August 16, 2020.  He was born on December 29, 1949 in Hamburg, Arkansas to the late Elza and Myrtle (Benette) Nutter.

Right after college Carl worked for several Sears locations as manager.  Carl also worked for Entergy.  He finally decided he needed a job that wouldn’t be phased out and the Lord led him to nursing.  After receiving a Master’s degree and a Nurse Practitioner degree, Carl worked for several years as a Nurse Practitioner and for a season as a Hospice Nurse.  Carl will be missed by all who knew and loved him.

Left to cherish his memory is his wife of 41 years, Mary Ellen Nutter, one brother, David Nutter (Delores) of Hamburg, AR, one niece, Kristin Nutter, as well as several Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, Friends, and Neighbors.

Carl is preceded in death by his parents Elza and Myrtle Nutter.

Mary Ellen, I am so sorry for Carl's passing. I went to nursing school with him at UAMS when he decided to become a nurse. We spent many hours studying and riding back and forth to LR but we sure were proud to get our degrees. That seems like a lifetime ago. He was truly a good man. He loved you dearly. It will be a wonderful day to get to see him again when we get to heaven. You are in my thoughts and prayers.

Mary Ellen, it was a pleasure to visit with Carl and you at David's & Dolores' home a few months ago. Jim and I are so sorry for your great loss. What a caring man he was. Anyone who could serve others as a nurse practitioner and a hospice nurse truly was a wonderful person.

I am praying for Mary Ellen and Carls family and friends at this difficult time. Carl gave of his best to help the sick and dying. He was caring and encouraging to people. He really enjoyed master gardening and the friends he met there. He liked talking to my dad about growing apple trees. I worked with Carl at Entergy. I was glad that Carl found a calling that he loved after Entergy. I miss Carl and hearing his laughter. He was my friend. He made a impression on many lives while here on Earth. I know he is enjoying the sweetness of heaven, visiting with family and friends. I look forward to seeing him again one day.
