Carl Lee Neal

Carl Lee Neal, 80, of Griffithville, Arkansas passed away on Monday, June 5, 2023. He was under the nurturing care of Unity Health Medical Center and Arkansas Hospice. He was born on June 1, 1943, in Searcy, Arkansas to the late Elmer Lee and Velma May (Hicks) Neal.

Carl loved helping his family and neighbors by picking berries, greens, corn, and gathering pecans for them. He derived great joy from making things and giving them away. He loved to pick and horse around a lot and loved it even more if you picked back. He kept his sense of humor until his passing. Carl was an avid hunter and fisherman who loved going with his family and friends. He was of the Assembly of God faith but enjoyed going to the Methodist Church at Dogwood with his wife and attending the Griffithville Church of Christ with his brother Garry. We love you, my husband, dad, grandpa, Pa and brother.

Left to cherish his memory are his wife of 59 and half years, Billie Jane (Snelson) Neal, one daughter, Carla Jane Moore (Keith) of Walker Corner; one son, Carl Ray Neal (Amy) of the Stringham Road Community; five grandchildren, Brooke Moore, Justin Moore, Adrian Neal, Nathan Neal, and Jacob Neal; eight great grandchildren, Braden and Rylan Agre, James Adams, Gabby and Abel Moore, Timarah Sullens, Josie Neal, and Cayde Flannigon; one brother, Garry Neal (Marilyn) and one sister, Jackie Smith; and a host of other family and friends.

In addition to his parents, Carl was preceded in death by his sister, Betty Parsons, and his brother, Harrold Neal.

Visitation will be held from 6:00-8:00 PM, Thursday, June 8th at Searcy McEuen Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be at 10:00 AM, Friday, June 9^th in the Searcy McEuen Chapel.

Interment will be at Dogwood Cemetery, in Griffithville, Arkansas.
