Bruce married Brenda (Jones) on June 21, 1991. Bruce accompanied her on many educational trips across the United States and Mexico. He often talked about all the interesting adventures, especially enjoying all the historical places.
He recently retired from Walmart DC #6018. Some of his interests included reading and researching the Bible, traveling, and watching military, classic and western movies. Bruce began writing a western novel and had planned to work on that again. In his earlier years, he was also an avid bicyclist. He enjoyed all sports, but his favorite was football and he was a loyal Green Bay Packers fan.
Bruce served in the Army and was stationed in Germany. He was a part of the 8th Division, C Company, 4th Battalion, 69th Armor. While enlisted, he received the Pathfinder Professional Certificate for his outstanding efforts as driver of C-22, greatly contributing to his platoon's selection as High Tank Platoon, for 1978 Level 1 Tank Gunnery. His military achievements included receiving the .45 caliber pistol marksman badge, the good conduct medal, and he achieved expert status in tank weapons. He loved his country and was a true patriot.
