Bristy Churchwell

Bristy Lynn (Wolford) Churchwell, 38, of Searcy passed away from her pain and suffering form Cystic Fibrosis into her heavenly home on Saturday, November 7, 2015.
She was born October 17, 1977 in Salinas, California to Billy Don and Betty Wolford.
Bristy taught school in Lonoke for two years and at Riverview for six years. She was very passionate with her teaching and she was also very compassionate with her students. Bristy's heart and love will live on through the students she taught, because of the care and devotion in her teachings. Bristy was preceded in death by her father, Billy Don Wolford.

It was hard not be happy in her class even on her most difficult days she still made sure that her class was taken care of. She inspired eveyone rof her students. She had the most caring heart and it showed with everyone she met.

Bristy was my best friend from practically the first day of seventh grade til the last day of high school. We loved each other like sisters, butted heads when we needed, and competed in a way that made us both stronger. She was the Yin to my Yang. My world will be forever changed without her. I pray for Billy Craig, Betty and Bo...

I can't remember a single time that I saw Bristy that she wasn't smiling. She was truly a blessing to all that she came in contact with. Billy Craig, you have been such a wonderful example of how God intended for marriage to be. Praying for God to comfort you and Bristy's mom during this time.

Bristy was one of my very best childhood friends. We first met when she and I were in the 5th grade together. She moved to WCC in 7th grade and then beginning of second semester I started there too. When she and I were in the 6th grade I went to Arkansas Children's hospital with her for a research the doctors were performing. We stayed the night at the hospital. My mom and Betty stayed in a hotel close to us. I know this sweet and bright young woman is rejoicing in heaven. Her pain and struggle is over. My heart goes out to Betty and Bristy's husband and all her family. Prayers for you all.
