Bobby J. Amis

Bobby Joe Amis, 55, of Searcy, died February 23, 2007. He was born August 26, 1951 in Merced, California, the son of Glynn Amis and Lois (Amis) Ketner. He was a Vietnam Veteran, serving in the U.S. Navy Seabee Battalion. He was a very hard and dedicated worker and a loving husband, father and grandfather. He was preceded in death by his father.

He is survived by his wife, Patty Amis; two sons, David and Jacob Amis; one daughter, Sarah Henson and her husband, Joe; a grandson, Lachlan Henson, all of Searcy; his mother, Lois Ketner of Merced, California; one brother, Glynn "Butch" Amis of Vancouver, Washington; three sisters, Elena Rose of Merced, California, Susie DeLay and Mindy Hitchcock, both of Chowchilla, California; and numerous other family members and friends who will greatly miss him.

Visitation will be 2:00 to 4:00 PM, Sunday, February 25, 2007 at Searcy-McEuen Funeral Home. Funeral services will be 2:00 PM, Monday, February 26, 2007 at Searcy-McEuen Chapel. Cremation will follow.
