Bill Hughes

Bill Hughes, 77, of McRae passed away Sunday, July 5, 2015. He was born February 27, 1938 in Sidon, Arkansas to the late Floyd and Elise (Watkins) Hughes.
Bill was a veteran of the United States Army. He was very patriotic and a strong democrat. He was a Union representative for the UAW1000. Bill was an amazing man with a big heart and loved people. He made all girls feel like "Daddy's little girl." He was a very likeable person who didn't have any enemies. Bill was the best dad and papaw you could ever ask for. He was loved by all who knew him and will be greatly missed.
Bill is survived by two sons, Jerry Hughes (Stacy) of Nevada, and Billy Clevenger (Dottie) of Missouri; three daughters, Carolyn Wilburn of Beebe, Karon Kissinger (Ken) of McRae and Michelle Burgess (Steve) of McRae; six brothers, Delbert, Clyde, Glen, Wayne, Paul, and Michael; two sisters, Linda and Laverne; seventeen grandchildren and fifteen great grandchildren.
In addition to his parents Bill was preceded in death by his wife, Vena Hughes; one son, David Hartman; one brother, "Big Boy" and one sister, Geneva.

Visitation will be held from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Sunday, July 12, 2015 at Searcy McEuen Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Monday, July 13, 2015 at Searcy McEuen Funeral Home with Bro. Joe Newnum officiating.
