Bettye Jean Smith

Bettye Jean Smith, 83 of Griffithville passed away Sunday, March 09, 2014 at White County Medical Center. She was born April 05, 1930 in McCrory, Arkansas to the late Hobson E. Covey and Bessie B. Baker Covey.

She was of the Methodist Faith. She was a member of the Eastern Star and a member United Methodist Women's Association.
She is survived by her son, James "Mickey" Smith (Jackie) of Griffithville, Arkansas; two grandchildren, Nikki Richards and Brandon Cooper, and one great granddaughter, Avery Richards
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, James Smith.

Visitation will be from 1-2 p.m. Tuesday, March 11, 2014 at Searcy-McEuen Funeral Home. Funeral services are 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, March 11, 2014 in the funeral home chapel with interment following at White County Memorial Gardens.
