Betty Sue Slaughter

Betty Sue Slaughter, 91, passed away on Tuesday, December 10, 2019.  She was born to the late Doug and Hazel (Gowen) Smith on July 16, 1928 in Searcy, Arkansas.

Betty was an avid reader, writer, and known as a musician.  She was a graduate of Harding University with a Bachelor of Arts in English with an emphasis in Literature.  Betty was a member of the White County Writers Guild.  She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Left to cherish her memory are two sons; Roy Kenneth Slaughter Jr. and Samual Douglas Slaughter (Penne) both of Searcy, one daughter; Kathy Throckmorton (Dub) of Searcy, six grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband; Roy Kenneth Slaughter Sr.
