Betty Sue Parsons
Betty Sue (Neal) Parsons, 77, of Searcy, Arkansas, passed away Sunday, November 18, 2018. Born March 8, 1941, in Judsonia, Arkansas, she was the daughter of the late Elmer Lee Neal and Velma May (Hicks) Neal.
Betty had a knack for catching fish – usually more and bigger than those baiting her hook. She loved the beauty of nature, often expressing it on canvass. Deer, wolves, and southwest desert settings were common subjects of her passion. She had a thumb that was forever green – able to take seeds, cuttings, or the puniest looking plants and cause them to thrive like there was no tomorrow. She even helped create enduring heirlooms for young parents by bronzing infant’s shoes. She never failed to express her love to her family and will be deeply missed.
She is survived by her daughter, Charlisa Sue Wood (Mark) and their children Autumne McDonald (Daniel), Corey Wood (Jennifer), Allen Wood (Stacy), and Eric Wood (Laurissa); daughter, Angela Pearce (Garrett) and children Jessie Nash and Lindsey Cowden (Corby); son, Ernest W. Parsons, Jr. (Sally) and their children Hannah Epler (Adam), Abigail Parsons (fiancé Reed Hobdy), and Heath Parsons; brothers Carl Neal (Billie) and Garry Neal (Marylyn) of Griffithville, AR; and sister Jacqueline (Jackie) Smith of Griffithville, AR; and a whole slew of great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Ernest W. Parsons and brother, Harrold Neal.
Visitation will be Saturday, November 24th from 1:00-2:00 pm at Searcy McEuen Funeral Home.
Funeral service will be at 2:00 pm, Saturday, November 24th at Searcy McEuen Chapel.
Interment will be at 11:00 am on Tuesday, November 27th at the Arkansas State Veterans Cemetery, 1501 West Maryland Avenue, North Little Rock, Arkansas 72120

I remember so many evenings in Bettys and Ernests home during high school. I was always made to feel a part of the family. To many wonderful memories to be listed. Her warm and welcoming spirit will be greatly missed.

I got to know and then love Ms Betty at Integrity over the last 2 years. She blessed our worship hour with her participation as often as she could each Lord's day. She appreciated the Bible studies and the others in the group and helped us sing. She will be missed. I read from Psalm 116, verse 17 as a verse of the week the last time she was with us, even for a few moments. It reads, "Precious in the sight of the LORD is the death of His saints". It was part of our Bible study on how God cares for and saves His people by faith and obedience. Ms. Betty will be missed but we will see her again in Heaven when he comes back for His saints with all His holy angels.
