Barbara Sue Buchanan

Barbara Sue Buchanan, 77, of Searcy, Arkansas passed away Saturday, June 14, 2025. She was born April 20, 1948 in Patriot, Indiana to Andrew Herald and Luella Bodey Herald. She is preceded in death by her husband, Raymond Buchanan; 2 brothers, Gary Christlieb and Alan Herald; and Robert Gibbs Jr.

Sue was very charismatic and stubborn at times. She had a good sense of humor and was accidentally humorous not even realizing it. She loved life and her children. She attended Searcy Church of the Nazarene.

She is survived by a son, Danny Geist of Orlando, Florida; daughters, Cheri Rodriguez of Herndon, Virginia and Salena Gibbs of Searcy, Arkansas; a sister, Melissa Geist of Orlando, Florida and cousin, Bob Bodey of Fort Wayne, Indiana.

Visitation will be at Searcy McEuen Funeral Home on Friday, June 20, 2025 from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. followed by a graveside service at Center Hill Cemetery. Arrangements by Searcy McEuen Funeral Home. www.searcymceuenfuneralhome.com.
