Avis Meachum

Avis Meachum, age 90 of Searcy, died Thursday, September 27, 2007. She was born March 18, 1917 in Searcy, Arkansas to the late O.T. and Lizzie Elizabeth Moore. She was of the Baptist faith.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Christine Bailey; eight brothers, Olif, Brady, Lowell, Oaklin, Verl, Wesley, Ivy, and Arwood Moore. She is survived by a son, Voris Meachum of Columbus, Ohio; three daughters, Margie McKinney of Searcy, Donna Howell of Judsonia and Patricia Haile of Heber Springs; two sisters, Betty Jackson and Eva Bell, both of Searcy; thirteen grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.
