William “Billy” Allen Yates JR., 41, passed away May 10, 2018. He was born December 4, 1976 in Jacksonville, Arkansas.
Billy cherished his family and loved everyone. He was a member of the Local Union 624. He was a United States Army Veteran. Corporal William Allen Yates served the U.S. Army with Alpha Company 1-12 Infantry Battalion 3rd Brigade Combat Team, Fort Carson, Colorado. From 2001 through 2004. He was deployed in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom 1 from April 2003 to May 2004. He received an Honorable Discharge. While serving the Army he received several awards including: Army Commendation Medal (2nd Award), Army Achievement Medal, Army Good Conduct Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Global War on Terrorism Expeditionary Medal, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, Army Lapel Button, Army Service Ribbon, Expert Marksmanship Qualification Badge with Rifle Bar, and Combat Infantryman Badge. Billy loved the outdoors and was avid hunter
Billy is survived by his father William Allen Yates Sr. (Johnna) of Cabot, mother; Mary Little (Gary) of Russell, wife; Summer Yates, two sons; Colby and Kaiden Yates, one daughter; Bayley Yates, one brother; J.B. Yates (Paige), three sisters; Christy Langston (Derrick), Felicia Yagos (Joey), and Jayden Yates, one stepbrother; Chadrick Little, two stepsisters; Brandi Kimberling and Chelsea Little, numerous nieces, nephews, friends, and pipeline family whom he loved very much.
Billy is preceded by one son; Cole Yates, maternal grandparents; Buford and Tressie English, paternal grandparents; Jim and Polly Yates.
Visitation will be Tuesday, May 15, 2018 from 6:00 to 8:00p.m. at Searcy McEuen Funeral Home.
Funeral service will be Wednesday, May 16, 2018 at 10:00a.m. at Searcy McEuen Funeral Home with burial following at Sidon Cemetery.
